Technical lead 3 person Oracle database team responsible for analysis, design, development and testing of Oracle databases.

  • Standardized software release process and automated deployment of database installations.
  • Established configuration mangement process for maintenance of DB development.
  • Developed Unix Shell scripts to push Oracle schema changes to production database.

Centralized Disbursing System DBA:  U.S. Air Force  2004 to 2006
Primary Oracle DBA and Configuration Manager for Centralized Disbursing System.  Responsible for all application security, and database tuning.

  • Administrator for six Oracle development databases, managed migrations and system testing. Installed tools, application patches and upgrades.
  • Primary configuration manager of work orders, database objects, scripts (both UNIX shell and Oracle), and of development documentation using PVCS and RCS software.
  • Alternate system administrator for servers running HPUX-11i.  Responsible for UNIX shell scripts, applying all OS and security patches.

Deputy Software Project Manager:  ARMS U.S. Air Force  2003 to 2004
Manager of a team of nine developers and two Oracle Database Administrators.  Developed Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) software development schedules maintenance.

  • Prepared and managed development schedules for Risk Management Matrixes.
  • Database administrator responsible for tuning, backup and recovery, stored procedures, and migration scripts.  Applied all applicable Oracle patches and dbms upgrades.

PeopleSoft SA/Oracle DBA/Programmer:  U.S. Air Force  1997 to 2002
Administrator for five PeopleSoft / Oracle Databases, manage migrations from development through production.  Performed backup and recovery, installed tools and application patches and upgrades.  Responsible for all application security.

  • Analyzed business processes, designed applications, developed and built customizations (using PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQR, and Crystal Reports), prototyped and tested modules, developed procedures, and converted legacy data.
  • Responsible for all Oracle tuning to include SQL, PL/SQL, tablespaces, rollback segments, monitor and manage extents.
  • Implemented PeopleSoft Student Administration replacing multiple legacy systems.
  • Performed basic administration on two HP servers (V2650 and D380) the databases and application servers.
